Old Stoneware Round Box Cobalt ecoration

    Bought this from an estate sale. 2 3/8" tall and measures 4" across. Unmarked base. Outter rim of bottom is unglazed, inner rim of lid unglazed. Monogrammed on top. Was this a powder box or something else?

    Here is some info on VOC which was Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie / Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, better known to us as the Dutch East India Company. Quite a lot of repro/fakes out there.
