Over the years I've managed to accumulate about a pound of these. Nearly all are steel, rarely plated. I use a few, of course...an' have graced those in my circle with maybe a dozen, total. I 'discovered' the first in my 30's, an' was fascinated at the no-sharp-ends, the simple utility of it. That one still has pride of place on my hank of keys, faithful service of over 50 years without a single snag. They range from about 1 1/2" diameter down to maybe 5/8", with wire size roughly commensurate with diameter. I have thought a lot about what the machinery that produces them must look like, but haven't followed that rabbit hole...yet. If there's any interest, I'll share pics of others, an' a shot of the whole pile. Thanks for lookin'!

Hmm...copy an' paste doesn't work so good with images...sigh. I'll have to take the 7 shots I meant to post here again. Patience, dear friends.
