In the Ardownie quarry near the town of Dundee, for instance, but there are other quarries dotted around the country.</p><p><br /></p><p>However, there is a very collectible Scottish jewellery style called pebble jewellery. Contrary to the name, it is not made from stones that were just picked up, but from mined stones.
