She looks like coromandel wood so earlier than the mid 1980s when its use was banned.

The wood indeed looks coromandel.

 

Like Stephen said, it is from Bali, Indonesia, but this one is not Art Deco.
It is a coromandel carving of a girl adjusting her hair, a popular theme in Balinese carving. The thing she is holding in her left hand is a mirror.
She dates from the age of mass tourism to Bali, probably just before the ban on the use of coromandel Stephen mentioned.
Qualitywise this is towards the lower end of the scale, so value is whatever anyone is willing to pay for it. If you like her, just keep her, and enjoy looking at her.
