Featured Origin of street scene

Haha, I did google but nothing in Cheltenham where I found the picture. There is a Hillrise in Lydney which is in the Forest of Dean but I suspect Mrs Fromm is long gone if the grot inside the frame was anything to go by.

I suppose if it was too easy we wouldn’t find hidden gems that others have missed. All part of the fun and frustration!.

 

the style touches me as French. will look around later.

could be franco-belge from the 1930s and later by the Spirou magazin that had many adventure figures for children.
second possibility would be Sophie.
