oxblood Chines vase ID period

    When I think of ox blood I picture a darker red. This color (mauve?) makes me think of the 80's .

    Nice double gourd vase! Appears to have a six character mark of the Ming dynasty, JiaJing period. But like Johnny already pointed out, the color red must indeed be darker, more like liver red. The white paste and the trimmed foot also do not look right to me.
