The maker, A KENRICK &amp; SONS seem to have made a variety of household items. The registered design number 15021 should put this at around 1885.</p><p><br /></p><p>It painted iron, quite heavy, and the second piece is held on by a wingnut, and can move about an inch up or down when loose. Quite elegantly decorated.
