Hello, just would like to show you my collection of wooden painted eggs from different regions of Ukraine. Each region has some typical elements of ornaments and experts can tell which area the egg is from just having looked at them. They look like real PYSANKA (painted on real eggs) but they are not breakable. I have about 50 pieces with some duplicates which are for sale. If you are interested please let me know.

If you're wanting to sell them you really should put them in the "Sell" section.

First of all I want you to see and enjoy them, maybe to make some comments. To sell them is optional

(In that case you might want to edit your post and remove the sell part)

Such an interesting medium. And so painstakingly done.

To paint in the round (or the ovaloid in this instance) must be a special skill.

One of my best friends in high school was half Ukrainian/half Latvian (her parents met in a DP camp as teenagers, married and emigrated here) - she was artistic, and enjoyed doing real pysanky, it's a wax resist technique, using a tiny stylus. She gave me one of her lovely intricate pieces, but sadly, it was broken several years later - when we reconnected a few years ago, she said she hadn't done any since we were in school...
