Featured Painting help -- quality?

    I think I might have found the artist, not a listed artist, but somewhat accomplished as they had a piece in a governor's mansion and private homes. Nice enough, but nothing super valuable. ...please let me know your thoughts if I have that wrong. (Probably consigning it after I have a new frame.)

    Just for general info, when you see a painting on a board like this, does it tell us anything? Are these Grumbacher boards more commonly used by amateurs or are they used at all levels?

    I *think* the signature says Gloria McConville.

    Thoughts on the overall quality?

    Looks 1960s/1970s. And, unlikely to be of great value. She's a confident colorist but not terribly sure-handed. (Look how unnatural the tree trunks are depicted. Her reach exceeded her grasp a bit there.) Likely an amateur with some formal art training.
