These deep blue vases are hand-painted, 7" / 18cm tall, and are marked CPO. My research is that that's 'Central Purchasing Office,' a US Army entity set up during the 1945-1952 occupation of Japan. That's likely the date of manufacture too.

Is there any way to identify the maker?

    Any and all comments appreciated.

I don't think there is a way to identify a specific maker. But they sure are pretty!

Except that the Marks under CPO says Kutani!

Very nice, but get a sunshine or jeweler's cloth and shine up that silver overlay! :D
