Featured Pendant material? Clip on Earrings- 1950's?

    Oh, please don't use hot pins. "it melted right in." You know, some of us collect vintage plastic and it's god-awful to find pieces with burnt holes. I've sold some vintage plastic for more than I've sold "fine" pieces, depending on what collectors have been looking for. Please, I beg you, find a better way to test and put away the hot pins. It's sacrilege.

    I'm no jewelry expert. It was the only way I knew to check to make sure it wasn't enamel even though it didn't feel like it. There us just a very small pin hole not deep.

    To you it's only small, but to a collector it would make a big difference. Seriously. Just because you don't value the object doesn't mean someone else doesn't. I wish whoever started that trend hadn't.

    It's like when I get a gold filled piece and find a file mark on it where someone wanted to test for gold, and very often it's on the front :eek:
