Featured Pendant set with Cameo- help w/marks

    I bought this necklace as I rather liked the cut-out cameo affixed on it.

    I am asking your collective knowledge if you know what the “LF” means? The marks look like LF 12K GF. I get that it’s gold fill but the LF I couldn’t find online.

    Rather a shame the cameo wasn’t set on a nicer piece. It’s pretty enough that I believe it would have been eye catching on it’s own instead of a heavy setting.

    Lastly, any clue who this is depicting? It looks like she has a comb in her hair.

    My hypothesis is that later ones from the 30s of a pretty lady with an ornamental comb in her hair derive from Psyche. You sort of see the wing move farther & father back on the head over time.

    Yes, sure seems like L’Fonts Ltd did a lot of gold fill piece costume jewelry. I’m trying to find more info on the company with no success. Just lots of pieces of their vintage jewelry.
