Is this indeed a Persian (Qajar?) tile?
Any idea how old this can be?

Hard to say, actually. This same pattern has been used for well over 100 years. It looks old.

our local antiques shop has the same type as the top one. said he paid £100 for it and wanted £150 for it, i wasn't convinced at it being that old though (sorry marote)

i'd be more convinced with the second one posted

I always love these, but find them difficult to date. I think it could be late Qajar dynasty, which ended in 1925. If later, it is Qajar style.

Those nasty metal clamps need to be removed, if you can do it safely. They only damage the tile.

That’s a cool title. Definitely has age,I would have also guessed definitely ‘vintage’ and quite possibly ‘antique’. But I also agree the second one posted certainly does looks older.
