phallic wood carving

    Can anyone tell me where this phallic-like wood carving might have originated? Is it Haida or New Zealand perhaps? (NOT marked!). It is a good conversation piece! Thank you!

    looks like the handle for a canoe baler .....

    I guess it could be,
    but they're usually not made of wood, nor do you see a face at the top.....
    I guess size matters too , and I can't tell how small it is..
