    Hi everyone,
I purchased this vase some time ago a because of the unusual shape.
I think i paid $4 from an op shop.
It is a pink interior and mostly clear.
No markings but the base is very flat and highly polished.
Is this Chinese or Japanese make? Or something better.
Hahahahah i purchased because from the top it looks like lady bits. Hope i can get away with saying that.
    Also the bowl in the back ground i believe is a godinger(sic) bought for $2 20220823_153333.jpg 20220823_153340.jpg 20220823_153333.jpg 20220823_153340.jpg 20220823_153351.jpg

    Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks

Not Japanese, the base is wrong. Might be Italian, but I'm leaning to Czech.

Urg. Sellers who claim everything is Seguso or Flavio Poli! They're not even geodes...

    Ambles off muttering.

I had a very similar piece and it was by Paul Kedelv as part of the Flygsfors Coquille series. Mine was signed however.

Pretty but its the color thats throwing me off. Id expect a richer shade were it Czech or Italian. I wouldnt rule out Chinese, they polish bases now !

I think it's a China import too, Johnny.

I have 2 of these bowls.
They are fantastic. They look great with floating candles in them.

I checked out some of the flygfors range and while there is similar colours i didn't really see and similar shapes.
I didn't think chinese imports were as highly polished as this. I have a couple very nice chinese vases with bases ground smooth but not polished.

Thanks everyone for their identification skills.

this might sound strange but I was taught if a glass feels 'greasy' is it modern Chinese production. I have seen a lot of modern Chinese sommerso pieces lately.

Very interesting. I compared 2 pieces.
First was this vase second was a per lutkin holmegaard vase. Both about the same size.
And believe you me they have 2 completely different feels. Hard to explain.
I thank you for your input.

    Very interesting.
