Very nicely decorated, but the designs are not Art Nouveau style imo.

Not my area of expertise, but I remember similar handpainted things as the better style of home decorations of the 1970s-80s. They could have been repros of older decorations.
My mother had them together in an antique mixing bowl, Slavic I think, along with walnuts and pinecones.

In Victorian times, the Scots enjoyed a game called Carpet Balls. The balls were approx. 2-3 inches in diameter, made of solid ceramic, thus quite hefty. They were hand decorated with stripes, small florals and most frequently, horizontal and vertical lines to simulate plaid. As they were solid, there was no air hole to allow heat to escape in the manufacturing process.
In the 1990's. The Christmas Tree Shops in the Atlantic area carried bins of reproductions of these carpet balls, decorated in a variety of patterns, some even simulating flow blue. These balls were hollow ceramic with the vent hole. I don't recall seeing any patterned like yours at The C.T. Shops,

I think the balls with this kind of decoration were a Continental European fashion, they have a different look altogether.
    :sorry:
They are very nice though, well made.
A clue for future buys, if it has that patinated look, it is usually, well, patinated. Which means the old looking patina smudges are not age patina, but applied to look old.:(

I think 70s-80s Continental European, the painting is very much in that style. My mother didn't buy any more home decoration things in the 90s. By that time she had started to de-clutter. A bit.

S Wolf, just wondering, do you ever sleep? It is late now in Indonesia. Or early, depending on your point of view.;)
