    Yes, you do! And baked goods, I'm so addicted to the Great British Baking Show.

    But, eels? What up with that? Those are just ugly things, not food.

    I can see the lovely plates being used for the Aussie (or New Zealand if you like) Pavlova. This iconic home-made dessert is served across Australia in summer. Very fond memories as a kid, and the base is entirely meringue.

    I saw a travel show here in the U.S. that talked about Pavlovas! I wanted to taste one immediately.

    Just my 2 cents, I've had excellent results using Barkeepers Friend on many different types of glass and china so I agree with Cluttered Closet. Get the powdered kind, use a soft cloth and stay away from the gold. Try it on the worst one, the one that's ready for the trash, so if it wrecks it nothing is lost. Good luck, they are beautiful plates and the gold ones, I love 'em!
