I don't doubt for a minute that you found it, but you never know how or when it got there.

 

That's such a relief. We do get people who are absolutely convinced they have some wonderful ancient treasure with no evidence other than what they were told by the seller. That's a long way down to dig. Do you do this regularly? My one concern is legality. Could come into question if you decide to sell it.

 

I considered the possibility that the site was 'salted'. Would need to know more to come to any conclusion.
