    Hi All,
These belong to a friend of mine, not sure if they would be a snuff or patch box? They are tiny, 1 3/4" round and 1 1/8" tall, she thinks the metal rim is brass. I've only seen them in the photos, photo of them open now added. One top (inside) has reflective metal, the other has purple velour.
From the shape maybe for cream?
    Any information appreciated
    thanks for looking

Seeing then open will make a difference. Is the seal "up to snuff"?

I've never seen the painting extend to the bottom of an item.
    Very unusual.

Are those mirrors on the inner lids? If they are material, I would doubt cream.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

They do look like they "click" closed, but also can't see any marks on the painted bottoms either. Wondering if there's tiny writing on that left lid in/near that 'flash' spot?? Could they have been "rouge pots" too??

Think more was making a Joke.:)

    Are those mirrors inside?
    Patch pot or rouge pot.
You don't need a mirror for snuff.

Take a good magnifying loupe and check for brush strokes or dots.
