Featured Possible Nils Westerback/Westerback Oy Ring 14k Opal Ring

    Hi everyone!
    Thanks so much for all the feedback. I got an answer from Nils Westerback. They are very responsive if you ever need to have a piece of jewelry from them identified. It is definitely not one of theirs. I'm guessing it's a custom piece that the late estate owner had made. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to get back in touch with the family at this point. I acquire this ring twenty years ago or so.

    I did find one mention of "NW" standing for "Nickle White" in reference to the nickle content of white gold. Apparently the hardness/brittleness of white gold can be adjusted by the percentage of nickle. This ring is yellow gold so the mystery remains!
