I cannot figure out these marks, my picture is not bad, the marks are just really hard to make out. This hawk is 5 1/2" high, not a shaker as the head does not screw on it just sits nicely... maybe for potpourri? any ideas? thanks! hawk.jpg hawk1.jpg

Looks more like an owl than a hawk to me - the eyes.

Not a clue what it might be with a head that would fall off if you turned it over. I don't think the scent of potpourri would be very strong with such small holes either. Maybe you put sticks of incense into the holes?

thank you, with your help I found this to be from their Regal Reproductions collection, supposedly a sugar shaker but no threads around the neck so head just falls off... others I have found look the same.

Might work as a hatpin holder.

Owl to me also. Here is a Corbell owl shaker that look identical except for the gold wash head. It's head doesn't screw on either.
Scroll about 1/2 way down the page to the 13th & 14th pic. There is a slide show showing it apart and the markings.
