Pottery Figure, What is it?

    Hello everyone, I bought this not knowing what is it. Is the pottery called "Raku"? Do you think it's an abstract figure of a person or animal? The piece at the top could be a nose or a beak? Inside the base it is marked MP. It's 9" tall and 2 1/2" wide at the base and is heavy. It has a textural finish. Any ideas? Thanks.
