Featured primitive looking african pick

    hi folks, an interesting looking tool i found at a boot sale, thought it was cool looking

    only info is the guy said it was from africa

    not sure how old it would be, or usage

    think more of a tool than a weapon

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    a wood adze.....for ruffing out carvings..........african.

    I would go with the adze because of the angle of the blade

    Is the "blade" made of wood or metal? It's not obvious in the pictures.

    without provenance.....I'd consider 1950's to 70's as a proper circa...
