Your Dior was made by Grosse, that's their clasp. 80s ish. Tried a UV on those green beads?

I do like those rod style Czech necklaces.

This is a botanical query: do sycamore trees in Scotland have seeds that look like those of maples in the US?

I was wondering the same thing as I was imagining the two pieces "twirling" to the ground.:happy:

Same here. Those look like maple seeds, aka "propellers".

It would appear our Sycamore trees are a type of Acer!

Absolutely sycamore and a right pain they can be. I find baby sycamore trees all over the garden.

Seed dispersal mecahnism is fascinating. I grow wood cyclamens and they hold their seed pods on a tightyl coiled spring. One day, it goes POP! and off they trot.

My mum used to have some dried flowers/ seed pods in the hallway. If you brushed up against them they would explode and seeds would ricochet around the hall! No idea what they were.

I did wonder about Grosse as I’ve seen similar. I didn’t realise it was recogniseable by its clasp.
Sadly no go on the UV. I suspected they wouldn’t glow as the facets are very soft so I think they are very modern but very cheap and a pretty colour so I’m happy.
I have a thing for the necklaces with the rods and I love the foil beads so win win!.
Thankyou. I couldn’t believe the price on the box, the bracelet screams ‘I am silver and I am fabulous’ and no one heard until I arrived to liberate it!
    Thankyou :)
    Thankyou :)
I thought Honesty was that tracing paper seed pod?

Sycamore and maple are the same family. There's even a tree called the sycamore maple.

The sycamore here and the sycamore maple are one and the same, Acer pseudoplatanus. Sugar maples are another acer, saccharum.
