Rare? 1978 Salute to Israel Parade (Central Park/5th Ave) Poster + "Swirls" a print? Artist?

I found these 2 at my local thrift store. I think the Salute to Israel is rare because I can't find another example - not even on film in any museum (I did find a tv show about it w/Barbara Streisand). And since it was in NY and Israel Prime Minister Menachem Begin was the speaker - doesn't it seem there should be a few other examples left?

The 2nd piece I think is a print/litho but instead of a edition number or a AP for artist proof - it says mono?
Can anyone tell me who the artist signature is?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mono might conceivably be short for monoprint. Looks like a student work. The poster might indeed be rare but not necessarily valuable.

Thanks - I thought it might be student/unknown, but it had such a cool signature I was hoping it was a known artist!

That's a very assured signature for a student. I suggest you open up the back, if you haven't already.

It would be a (BIG) mistake, for example, to pass up this in a thrift shop.
