Real or FAKE paul gauguin painting!

    Kyratango mentioned the time frame of 1963-1985, that could be right for the canvas as well.
    Remember, the painting has not been kept in good conditions, that has a great influence on the canvas as well as the paint. But if you have the painting cleaned and put on a stretcher by someone who knows what they're doing, and have it framed, it will get a second life.

    This discussion has left me stunned by the knowledge on this forum. Thanks everyone. I am currently in Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia to see the Impressionist exhibition from the Musee d’Orsay Paris. Quite amazing and inspirational. Have spent hours wandering around and to read this intelligent posting this morning has been wonderful. Thanks.
