Featured Recent MCM find

Spotted this gem on craigslist a while ago for a good chunk of change. Still worth what the seller was asking but I figured I'd hold out. About a month later they dropped the price by almost half and I knew they wanted it gone. The chair is not original to the desk but still pretty damn cool! Been getting it back to somewhat normal looking over the past few days. I'll post some finished pics once it's done.

Brass was really bad but cleaned up nicely.

 

It's very cool, I love it! Do you know the maker? I have an end table with the floating look, rather similar style. (terrible photo I took awhile back)

 

Yes this is a Drexel Biscayne floating desk.

 

Have seen your chair before but can't quite place it. It is similar to one designed by Hans Wegner but not exact. Still looking .......

 

I believe it's made by Stanley.

 

Right ... does seem to be Stanley, though some are getting attributions wrong on these and the various clones.

Look Scandinavian to me, at least the chair, the desk need more research, very nice find, congrats
