Region of Mexican figure ?

    Any particular area pertain to this style and size ? Large and heavy seated clay woman, 16 inches tall. A few years back someone mentioned that many of the larger figures were often made in the Durango region in the 1950's - 70's. s-l1600 (63).jpg

    I would have guessed reproduction of a Mexican west coast shaft tomb figure but wait for others.
