Featured Religious item, unknown

    Can anyone tell me about this. It’s very small. Just a little bit bigger than a quarter. I am only assuming it’s something religious because of the cross.

    Was thinking chatelaine as well. It is beautiful and seems to have some age. Looks like guilloche enamel.

    I have one just like that one too. But the green one is so small I can’t see it holding any coins.

    The green one is very pretty, and reminds me of Czech jewelry circa the 1920s. Not trying to suggest it's from there or then, though.

    It is lovely and so cute.:)
    I wonder, with the loop at the bottom, if this was meant to be an 'in-between' case (my term), with the coin purse proper dangling from the loop? This little beauty could have held a small item of religous significance to the wearer, like a personal charm. Hence the cross.

    Or it could have been for a priest in drag.:playful:

    That is a very pretty one, and in fabulous condition. Some of the ones I’ve seen similar to this, held small prayer dedications, or various types of religious medals in them. ❤️Maven
