This came in a mixed lot at auction yesterday. It is made of some sort of resin and is very heavy. I know that it is not art nouveau in period but I have been unable to trace where it was made. I found an identical one that sold on Catawiki for 150 euros described as Belgian alabaster resin dating to second half of the 20th century and another in Yandex reverse image search that took me only to a photo.

Does anybody know any more. It’s quite well done and has clearly been used by the previous owner as there were some pins etc inside.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Even if it turns out to be a repro. It is just stunning. I would have bought it in. a nano second. I would make make room to display it.
Can you tell I love it?????

Lord, please don't let this be another product by the same company that made the La’Gatierre & Danbiere cameos, please, pretty please!

That is just beautiful! Didn't see a photo of the bottom but that's ok.

    You don't mention the size...
Perhaps it was meant to represent a tea caddy box?
Here is Design Toscano's current "tea caddy" box, though this one is mahogany.

I don't know about your box.
However, I can tell you that when the Gift show was in San Francisco, there were two Chinese importers with similar items.
I dealt with one company for other items; not the Art Nouveau line.
This is part of their current offering.
