Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Not sure, but I found the full name of the artist you found on MutualArt: Luigi Amati, b. 1940. There is a piece by Amati in WorthPoint that also looks similar, but the back is finished very differently and is marked "Westraven Utrecht, Holland" and number 203 -- Seller dates it as from 1970s.

Oh, also... Luigi Amati did a series called "Professions," and apparently these tiles are part of that series.

He still has a website. His more recent work doesn't look much like what he was doing 50 years ago.

Don't hate me for this, but I think the tiles attributed to Amati all look alike, but they don''t look like your original tile. The faces are very different. But IDK, they look similar on the back.

Thank you for additional eyes Ola and INH. Yesterday I found a pair online--a series, by this artist and the second panel did not have any maker's mark on the back, so at least one definitely attributed to L.A. out there without a maker's mark on the back. Mine has no mark on the back whatsoever.

I wasn't sure either, still figuring this out, but I'm starting to think it is maybe by this artist. The whimsical scenes, pretty unusual, same size, etc. I may send an inquiry to Fig's link.

Thanks for all the help. :)
