Ah, but that is a double Ghau, a Himalayan amulet box to put a mantra, etc. in. It has religious symbolism, but is from a very different tradition, has different use too.

I can't get a pic on my finger, only got a huge cumbersome cam and hub not here to help...the back of it is flat,sits right against the finger like a normal ring does. Just tucks away and it's cute n neat xx

 

You will probably find one for a few p in a boot sale. It is base metal and glass, so not expensive.

(I won't tease you with the real ones, silver turquoise and coral, this thread is becoming too tempting already )
