Hello guys I was wondering if you could shed some light as to what other items were in this leather case, apart from a paintbrush , I haven’t found any reference online or even picture of any. Would it be hung or clipped on to something. I’ll try post some more of ink and rubber

You mean Roberson, not Robertson, don't you? Likely to have had some of the same contents as this artist's case, also from C. Roberson & Co.

I don't think the tray has inks in it, I suspect it is cakes of watercolor :)

I think the case may have contained some pencil leads and mechanical pencils, perhaps a compass too, even though it does look to be more an art case than an engineering-architecture case. I am not convinced that wet brushes and damp watercolor pots in a tin were originally installed into a leather art pouch such as this, just seems a messy accident waiting to happen.. Everything must dry before it is put away.. hmmm...
