I've thought about using the before,but almost always opt for

 

I am seeing Forrest Tucker.

 

There is a likeness to Forrest Tucker but I don’t think the eyes and nose are right. Thanks for looking.

 

I LOVE LAWRENCE TOO! Most of the time anyway ... Sons & Lovers is one of my top ten books . So f'in powerful ... poignant... touching ... some of his descriptions stay with me like the way he described a Yorkshire terrier bitch (“Is it a little silky one — colours of iron and rusty silver?”) and I love Lady C...and The Virgin and the Gyspy. Some of his other works I find hard to get into I must admit. The ones I do love though make up for it <3

 

Nothing else to add except I think Alan Bates was THE most beautiful man I have ever seen. Don't wish to see his bits jangling alongside ole Ollie's bits though ever

If I recall correctly, they only showed one set of bits at a time.

 

(Must add: I married someone who was "SO not my type" - it's been 41 years & counting!)

 

As much as I 'dore Alan, I do not wish to see his bits at all! Though that is rather comforting xx

 

I watch a lot of streaming/netflix/amazon productions that don't contend with censors.

I did too! Twenty years ago! I was never going to marry someone like Him...he'd been my ( adoring ) friend for years too. I had in mind someone potentially so much MORE Alan Bates like actually ( though interested in wimmin,natch) and I have not regretted one day. Though he can be rather annoying at times

God I had THE biggest thing for him but by the time I had discovered him he was past his prime. I did some pretty quick catching up however...I think he was gorgeous. ***SWWWWOOOONNN***

He was Gabriel Oak in Far From the Madding Crowd and I love Hardy too so win/win
