    Or know how far you can span with your hand and the length of one finger and how far a 'pace' is for yourself. Then you are never without at least a close approximation for various lengths. Ain't hard. :rolleyes:

    Heh, I've done so much with fabric that I know exactly where to hold my head and outstretched arm to measure a near exact yard from my fingertips to tip of my nose (another life-lesson learned from my Mom)...

    yes I have a way to hold my thumb and pinky apart that is exactly 6" hard to imagine no tape measure in the car tho get a tape and let us know please.
