I have a green s.j. pottery crock, urn or cookie jar with lid?
Glazed or hand painted green? I think out of Bethel, MO
may have gone out of business in 2007.
Dimensions are about 3" top dia. x 4" tall without lid or
4 5/8" tall with lid. to the top of handle. I was wondering
what the use of this item is and is it glazed or hand painted
    or both? Thank you. Rob

Everything I found by the pottery you mention used red clay, so you may have to keep looking. There's no hand painting on the two pieces, just glaze.
