Found this in a "Vide Maison". Couldn't see it at the time (wrong glasses?) but it is marked. So, my question is - does anyone know anything about late 19th-early 20th century Sarreguemines, France? The marks are: SARREGUEMINES 60 R (little capital on its side) E (large capital) I wondered whether it is a 'gentleman's travelling shaving box'? If not - what is it? Also IS it late 19th-early 20th century? I love it - and am about to use it as ... a gentleman's (that's me!) travelling (to and from the bathroom!) shaving box!!
