So this is a project I was working on the past month. I got three revival dining chairs for 5€. They were pretty destroyed and seemed beyond repair but I invested some time and the result is more than pleasing.

I managed to save 2 of them, the third one I used to combine missing parts. Usually I dont paint wood but in this case it was a must because of the terrible condition. It's also my first upholstery job and I'm very proud of it! I used green leather and gold nails. Turned out pretty well

GORGEOUS! I recently inherited many antique pieces of furniture that need refurbishing but don't think I could do as well as you have done. I have an antique settee and chair frame ...bare bones beautiful wood...but scared to even start on them!

Almost every joint was broken and someone tried to repair it with some metal supporters so that had to be removed and every joint replaced but they are so stable now I'm surprised.

    Thanks everyone!

Well they were super cheap and already destroyed so I had nothing to lose, but if it was something more elaborate I wouldn't dare to reupholster it myself.
You can always try it on your own, and consult a local professional? I'm sure they are willing to help

The frames look to be in very nice condition. Have you looked into having them professionally reupholstered? I know, it can be expensive.

Sevral years ago, one of our local schools had an adult education class on upholstery. I did one antique chair. Perhaps one of your nearby schools offer the same?

Mine came out OK, but it's not easy work. Not easy at all...............

Nice job. Hope you saved some of that embossed leather and those unique tacks for another project.
