    Hello everyone,

    My name is Dave. I've heard good things about this forum and wanted to be a part of it. Hopefully I can contribute.

    I collect and restore antiques. Mainly Lamps of all kinds as well as Sewing Machines (Treadles mostly). I love making something old and worthless look GREAT again.. but still maintaining its original purpose... well... MOST of the time.

    That's pretty much me in a nutshell. OH... and I was a professional Comedian for 18 years... (even got PAID for it. go figure)

    Welcome David. Lots of funny goings-on around here. You'll feel right at home. I have a project for you to look at when you have the time. It is an beige milk glass Aladdin Lamp that someone already "repaired." I need advice on how to improve the repair.
