My name is Haley. I'm in the midst of handling my father's estate. We're trying to sell some items to fund his bucket list. I'm trying to find out information on a 1951 Capehart TV the "corner cabinet", specifically. It still works as far as I know and is in great condition. Online, I'm only finding ads for it, which are for 1951.

    Hi,
I do not think your TV will work. Several years ago the system changed from something to something and the TV signal was changed and all analog TVs will not work.

There are people who collect old tvs.
Not sure what yours is worth, will depend on where you are and what kind of economics are at work in your area.

I have seen some of the old tvs priced in the 200-250 range at stores in the Northern CA area. I don't know if they are getting what they are asking though.

If you still have an antenna. At least mine did until we finally got cable about 5 years ago.
I also made rabbit ears with a switch that I could turn on when it rained. For some reason, the antenna would not work it the rain.

Well not really rabbit ears. It was like this and worked better than the antenna. Yet didn't work when the weather was clear.

One is a flat panel about 1' x 1.5' I got free and which gets me 3 channels and now this weird, flexible, elongated diamond shaped type thing I got at GW that just picked up 4 more channels.
