Featured Seated Arab figure.

    I put it in the pottery section but it might be carved from stone .

    Any ideas where from and how old?

    No markings whatsoever, the base looks and feels like stone, definitely not resin, I tried scratching it with a sharp knife and it had no effect.

    Not as tall as a Babycham glass and heavy

    Id guess Chinese because of the scepter. I like him,hes an intense little fellow.

    Your figure represents Bodhidharma/Daruma, the Buddhist monk who introduced Buddhism to China and Zen Buddhism to Japan.:D
    He was either Indian or Central Asian.
    I think the figure ie Japanese.

    A belén figure an interesting idea but they're usually more naturalistic and finely detailed.
