    That could be a problem. Although with the tectonic activity in the region, Madura island itself could be pushed up, along with Java. It is just north of east Java.
    Don't know what would happen with the 67 smaller Madurese islands, some of which are glorified sandbanks with only a few small villages, and palm trees.
