Served on a Silver Platter?

Did all of the silver companies whether German, English, American or whatever use the same border cut-out pattern? If not then would that mean that all are American and by Rogers Bros? All pictures shown seem to show the same. I'm not into silver much except for the very old pieces we have at the museum. Barbara.

 

A picture of the mark is needed. If it is Wm Rogers (there are many silver Rogers makers), it is silverplate.

I believe that Rogers is now a part of International.
