[QUOTE="verybrad, post: 10478842, member: 37"]Thanks for the input. I think a hotel likely or perhaps a restaurant with the word house in it. For the heck of it tried Town House but no luck there. The pattern may look familiar to me as it is somewhat similar to the Roycroft Inn restaurant ware. I could have seen it somewhere locally as well. I only have $1.50 total in two round plates like this and a larger oval plate, so minimal investment. Interestingly, the oval plate is more cream in color than the plates.

I have not had great luck selling restaurant ware but I like it and pick it up interesting pieces when I can. Some local restaurant ware does sell here. Steak and Shake is originally from here so their old china flies out the door. They originally used an unbranded checkerboard pattern that is somewhat hard to find. Later on, they had their own logo branded wares.

We use restaurant ware for our everyday dishes. I have a few patterns I particularly like. Besides the checkerboard pattern, there are some grey and red banded oval plates that are my favorites. They are just the right size and have a particularly deep rim. I only have 3 of them and have never seen any more. A quick search right now does not bring up any. Fortunately, they are sturdy and we have never broken them. Besides these, I have a pretty good set of diamond pattern dishes like this. These oval plates are a bit smaller than the grey and red banded ones and I also have another even smaller oval and 2 sizes of round plates in this pattern. Also have bowls in this pattern. Disclosure: Picture is not mine.
