Do you have any? Please share photos of your beautiful antique diamonds!

I love old cut diamonds and have been lucky to acquire several.
This one is an Old European, about .25, and the color is very white. The clarity is great. I cannot find any inclusions at all. The table is tiny and the cut is a bit wonky. The style is 1930s-50s. I found it in a local pawn shop.

My camera and my sight aren't the best, but this is my grandma's engagement ring. "Mine cut" I was told.

Plus, I have a stash of "diamonds" but do not know how to tell if some of them are real or not.

Lovely! I would say that it is Old European. Old Mine cuts are more squarish or cushion shaped, rather than round.
You should invest in a cheap diamond tester. They work great!

Thank you. I posted a link to a tester and am wondering how inexpensive is cheap? The one I found is one various sites but was cheapest on Wish.com. Bad or good? Suggestions?

I don’t know diamond cuts and don’t know if this actually qualifies for this thread but here is my mother’s engagement ring in its original box. Circa late 1955. Dad used his Christmas club money, £24. :)

A ring I posted before. A gold ring, mounted in the early 20th century with what was once (part of?) a possibly 18th century silver and diamond earring. The older part is a silver flower shape with a rose-cut diamond in the heart and diamond chips in the larger petals.

I have the same one, and it works fine. The price of this one is very good. Buy, this is an order!:hilarious:

    And going into my stash...
My own 1990s Emerald cut (I’m told) diamond engagement ring is in the center, it used my mother-in-law‘s stone from her engagement ring which would’ve been from the late 1950s.

I posted this here almost two years ago. A poorly made silver superman brooch, filled with small old cut rubies and diamonds. I used the diamond tester, then took it to my jeweller to confirm they are diamonds.

Still no closer to figuring out how they ended up in this brooch.

Is there a maker's mark? The stones look like poorly single cut diamonds and brilliant cut rubies probably from India, possibly from a jeweler's scrap box of gemstones.

A rose cut! I'm still hunting for one of these.
I believe it is Georgian. A true antique! So gorgeous.
