Featured Silver chatelaine mirror?

    This is my fave little thing right now.

    Would you say this is a mirror for a chatelaine? It is about 3inches.

    It is hallmarked - seems to be Birmingham, 1922.

    Unfortunately, I can’t find a makers mark

    Would the pattern have been been hand etched?

    I love how it catches the light.

    It is very sweet, Bec-lou.
    Ladies didn't wear chatelaines in 1922.;) The loop may have been for a tassle or a satin ribbon with a bow.

    Chatelaines were very out of date by 1922 ('cause everything today is thoroughly modern...). Fashions had changed so much in the interwar era.

    I'd say the loop was for wearing around one's neck or something similar to that.
