Found this at a recent jumble sale. 18 inches long, tests as silver, not magnetic. Connecting Rings not soldered. No marks on spring ring. Not sure what the orange blobs are made of, I think the colours are too uniform to be coral but it looks like that’s the look they were going for, blobs seem warmish to touch so maybe a resin or glass. Not sure what the impressed marks on the back of some of the drops are, can’t make out if it’s a logo or numbers even with my loupe. Any info about where from, possible age, whether likely tourist piece etc. Thanks.

It is Lebanese or Palestinian, thereabouts. That extensive marking is typical of older Turkish jewellery en jewellery from the former Ottoman occupied countries in the region.
It was made as souvenir, but a very pretty one, one of those necklaces that always looks elegant.

Yes, this is proper filigree, a tradition in the region.

True, Maltese filigree is related to other European filigree, even though Malta is close to N. Africa and the Middle East.

I saw 1000 too. The "stones" look like resin, glass, etc.
