Silver Plated Lighter Cover

    Picked up this silver plated lighter cover the mark is an Angel holding something and the letters J C underneath.The other side has FFR engraved and would like to know if someone has any info on this .Cant get photo of the mark camera wont go that close. P1120175.JPG P1120176.JPG

    I believe that BIC disposable lighters came out in the 1970's - This looks like it is designed to hold a BIC so if so it would be no older than that. Just a guess but I've seen quite a few pewter items with "angel holding something" marks- perhaps this is pewter - not silverplate?

    Yes I have seen pewter angel marks this feels silver plated will try and see what the initials Jc mean thank you for replying.

    lloyd249 it's not hoarding if it's valuable

    IMO it's chromed tin , you can buy them at the mall, and have anything you want engraved on them.
