The twist in the tale was that several months later it turned up smashed to bits in the yard of a recovery company my OH worked for at the time. He obviously pushed his luck once too many times.</p><p>My best loved car was my Landrover Discovery but it got to be a joke that every time I got out of it I would kneel down to see what type of life blood was draining out of it this time. It cost me a fortune to run and maintain but was such fun when we went off roading. </p><p>I’m now demoted to a Nissan Qashqai which is excellent on fuel and deadly boring. I also loved my Saab 93 which finally needed too much work at 225k miles. </p><p>Worst car ever when I was young was a white Ford escort ex police car which had obviously been in a shunt at some point and would randomly deviate sharply to the left with no warning.
