    I put hooks on these and listed them as earrings but they didn't get much interest so am now thinking of listing them as pendants. Just wondering age really, I've had a few like this and never been sure of how old they are. thumbnail_IMG_20220302_101744.jpg thumbnail_IMG_20220302_101754.jpg

    Not many buyers are going to want to add their own findings, so that is probably why you haven't had any luck with them listed as earrings. They are most commonly described as pendants or charms. Hard to date, in the UK I see items like this with hallmarks from the 1920's to the 1970's. Going on the birds engraving I would lean towards 30's to 50's, I often just tag items like this as vintage and let the buyer decide.

    With a Sterling chain I’m sure they would sell.
    The more I sell on eBay the more I realise that most people are absolutely not like me. They want wearable jewellery to buy and go. I’ve started picking up silver chains I see if they are cheap to go with some nice pendants I’ve got. Some have sold, some haven’t but the ones that don’t I will do a silver job lot which sometimes makes more money anyway.
    Birds like that always make me think that items like this are earlier rather than later together with being marked silver not 925.
    @Ownedbybear what do you think?

    I don't know how big they are, but I was wondering if they could be put on a charm bracelet

    @KSW there seem to be a few of them around, I've found and sold at least 3 like this before these. I have seen them listed and the sellers have all given different ages, which is why I thought I'd ask :) Most people are not like me either lol I know what you mean about the buy and go, I tend to list pendants and chains separately though as often people won't buy a pendant because they don't like the chain it's on.

    @pearlsnblume they are 19mm without the jump ring, so yes they could be used as charms

    Are they sterling? If so, look for sterling puffy heart charms.

    I'd say 30s. Charms, yes, but very useable.

    And I'd throw in that just the word SILVER was also used here.

    Good point on the chain.
